The Mandate

Worship and prayer were always designed to be at the center of not only the function of the Church, but the character of the Church itself. Prayer was never intended to be a ministry in the church, but to be the ministry of the Church. Isaiah 56:7 makes this clear: “For my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” The mandate of JHOP-EP is twofold: to secure the South gate of the country and to contend for another great awakening.We must be actively and consistently engaged in prayer to determine the outcome of this battle. The issue of the house of prayer is urgently necessary in light of both the battle that rages in this region -where our border sister city is the #1 most violent city on planet earth- and the hope of a nationwide awakening.

At the present time the Lord has given us three specific mandates to pray into:
The Ending of Abortion
The South Gate of the country
Another Great Awakening

The Ending of Abortion
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. The heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water He turns it wherever He wishes. Prov 21:1.We need to petition the Lord for righteous leadership, the ending of abortion in America and that He turns the hearts of our elected officials toward Him.

The South Gate of the Country
Fervent intercession to secure the South Gate of the country, praying for Jaurez which is the most violent city on earth. El Paso, TX is critical and key in the security of this nation to God. It is the South gate where illegal drugs pass through to be distributed to the all nation. If we see a shifting in the heavenlies over this region we will see it shift for the whole nation. Currently, in the natural realm, this region has become a battleground. The battle in the spiritual realm for this region is pivotal for the all country’s sake. We must be actively and consistently engaged in prayer to determine the outcome of this battle.

Another Great Awakening
We want to see the breaking in of the Holy Spirit in our generation, to a degree our nation has never experienced. We are living to see the reality of Christ in our generation, and to see extraordinary prayer for revival and the advancement of Christ’s kingdom on the earth.
